Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

It's cinco de mayo and I am so excited! This is one of my favorite holidays because I love Mexican things. I like their food, I like the colors red and green, I like their food, and I like the people at the local Mexican restaurant- their my friends and we're on a first name basis. I can say, "I want the usual." and they know that means the chicken finger plate on the lunch menu. We're tight. Anyway, I'd like to tell you what this wonderful occasion is celebrated for. It's not the Mexican independence from Spain, as you might think. It's a holiday that commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over the French at the Battle Puebla on May 5, 1862. Didn't know that did you?? Well, you might have, but I sure didn't. :)
Enough about cinco de mayo, let's talk about the matters at hand. Jordyn is graduating tomorrow night and we are doing some preparation things today and tomorrow during the day. Oh goodness, I hope I don't lose my cool sometime between now and tomorrow night. And after the graduation tomorrow night, we are having an after-party at my house with a bunch of family and Jordyn's friends. Speaking of family, my lovely grandparents came into town just this afternoon. They're actually sitting in my living room right now telling us a story. They always have lots of stories to tell us. :) haha... well, I need to go cut some chicken. (don't ask.) talk to yall later!
