see and reflect

Happy Monday to you all!
I hope everyone was able to spend time with family yesterday for Easter, and that you all remembered the true reason for the season. :)

Remember this post, when I told y'all how I felt like God was about to open my eyes about the true cost of following him through Radical and the Secret Church?? Well, last Friday (Good Friday) was Secret Church, and just 2 nights before that I finished Radical.
And God has opened my eyes.

He has revealed to me the cost of following him, how people will hate me, people will persecute me, and people might kill me.
But my God is a mighty fortress. And the most that anyone can do to me is kill my body, but never my soul.
I am so thankful that God has drilled this into my brain and has given me such a passion to show others.


Last night, I was reading in 2 Corinthians, chapter 3, and it was talking about how sometimes we don't understand Scripture because we have a veil covering our mind. I think the veil can represent many things that varies with each person. Maybe it's your boredom when you read Scripture, maybe it's your refusal to know and understand what it is God wants to teach you.
Whatever it is,  verse 14 says, "And this veil can only be removed by believing in Christ."
I had a veil covering my mind when it came to knowing the cost of following Christ. But I believed and asked him to remove it, and He was faithful.

"But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord- who is the Spirit- makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image." 2 Cor. 3:16-18


I have had my veil removed, and now I have two responsibilities:
to see and to reflect.


If you are wanting to understand something in Scripture, but can't for some reason, ask God to search your heart, reveal to you the problem, and remove the veil. Believe he will. He is faithful.
And then see and reflect. It's crucial.
