like a breath of fresh air.

Last night was a ball! Our friends, the Gomez family, came over and showed us how to make real tamales! I have some pictures I post later, but please note, it was so much fun!!
Also that night, I drank a lot of DP and a lot of coffee. So, it will only seem natural when I tell you I stayed up til 3 am last night reading a book and my Bible.
That's where the freshness comes in.
I started reading 1 Tim. last night, and finished it, and it was so powerful. Not necessarily because I am going through a similar situation to Paul or Timmy, but because it's God's word, and it was so cleansing.
This one particular passage in 1 Tim. was very powerful to me. I want to memorize it so I can tell people what I believe when they ask me, because I want to speak the powerful truth. That

Christ was revealed in a human body

and vindicated by the Spirit.
He was seen by angels
and announced to the nations.
He was believed in throughout the world
and taken to heaven in glory.
(1 Tim. 3:16)

and I also like this:

Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you.
(part of 1 Tim. 6:20)

I will memorize this, and make the second verse another of my life's mottoes. It can be my New Year's Resolution! :)

I hope you all have Happy New Year!

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011! ;)
