go light your world

the strangest thing just happened.

i tunes isn't set up on my laptop yet, so i have no music anywhere on my computer to listen to. none.
I've got my headphones in my ears because i was watching a video on the internet, but i never took them out after the video ended.
I'm just browsing FB with my headphones in my hears. not listening to anthing.

a song starts playing. in my headphones.
i search my laptop for places the song could be coming from: FB, another browser, my library, everywhere.

it's not coming from anywhere. the song is just playing.

weird.

but the song is an old hymn:

There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings a fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, go light your world
Take your candle, go light your world

wow. Thank you, God.

i just got back from a simulcast my church my church had joined, with speakers Anne Graham Lotz and Joel Rosenburg. They talked about how all the "tragedies" that have come to America and the world ( 9/11; tornadoes; drought; wildfires; hurricanes; earthquakes) in the last ten years have been "alarm clocks" going off in order to wake us (Believers) up.

we need to wake up! The Church needs to get a move on!
Jesus is coming back, and we need to be ready.
I would encourage you to watch the simulcast here.

I've been burdened for Brazil lately. I believe God is preparing me, through learning Spanish, for some future work there. I don't know that for sure, but I'm praying about it. It's just that God really has laid the younger generation of Brazil on my heart. I have a burden for any younger generation really.

i just thought I'd share that with y'all.
take your candle, go light your world.

also, a friend of mine has a friend whose mom passed away earlier. they are making a quick trip to NC for her funeral. Please be praying, brothers and sisters, for that family who lost their mom and wife. Pray that God would comfort them, and that they would look to Jesus right now and know Him to be in control of their lives at this time.

God is doing amazing things in my "world". He's working in the heart's of my family members, my church members, and my own heart.
Revival is coming. But not because we have decided it to be so: It's because Jesus Christ is loving and kind enough to draw us to Himself on such a miraculous and humbling scale.

I love you all so much!
Praise be to God that I can boast in Him freely to you.

p.s.-- 40DLF is starting up again!!

p.p.s-- it's Grandparent's Day!!
