hello, people!

hello everyone! how has your week been so far?? Mine's been pretty good, just full of b-ball games, school, church, and Wednesday I got my teeth cleaned! whoo-hoo! (im really excited about that!)
I was listening to a sermon by Gary Kramer online and he talked about the importance of memorizing Scripture. I had never realized that before. I guess I always thought (and had been told) that that wasn't as important as having a relationship with God, so I completely ignored memorizing Scripture. But I see now that it IS important! God tells us to hide his Word in our heart to prevent us from sinning, so WHY am I just now memorizing the Bible?!?! Well, better late than never I suppose. I'm still young.... ;)
SO, this is the verse I am memorizing right now:

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared to the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I might gain Christ.
Philippians 3:8

Maybe you want to memorize it with me?? :) yes, you do.
And, before I forget, a new blog a friend of mine showed me! It is truly amazing the work she is doing in Uganda, all in the name of Love. Take a look at it, PLEASE! but, I would suggest starting at the very beginning (2007) so that you can understand and see where she came from and what God has been doing in her life for the past 4 years. :)

That's it! I love you all, have a wonderful day! :)

p.s.-- I have decided that going just one day or one week without complaining isn't good enough. The Bible tells me to do everything (all the time) without complaining or arguing. So, that is what I am trying to do. I am making a conscience effort to not complain before I say anything, for the rest of my life, every day. PRAY FOR ME! ;)

Hey! God has been talking to me about memorizing scriptures too! I really need to start. I always "start", but then forget. I can't do that this time! Also... That blog is AMAZING! Is it a friend of yours? That's a pretty cool thing she's doing in Uganda. It must be so awesome to be Christ to those people.
