waiting

to those of you who are in a time of waiting, this is for you tonight, from God:

Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

 Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.

Psalm 37:3-7

While you're waiting, on whatever is it that you are waiting for, do good. Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Also, love your neighbors.

While you're waiting, take delight in the Lord. Experience joy in His presence and getting to know Him better.

While you're waiting, commit everything you do to the Lord and trust Him. Believe that He can care for you better than you can.

While you're waiting, be still. Reverently honor Him, His power, and His majesty.

And when God decides that you have waited long enough, rejoice!

 

 

The promise was that when everything fell, we'd be held. If hope is born of suffering, if this is only the beginning, can we not wait for one hour, watching for our Savior?!
